Why do I need an Aqua Vital water filter?
Aqua Vital Water Filters improve the quality of your drinking water reducing sediment, chlorine taste and odour. Our filters also reduce potentially harmful protozoan cysts that can cause illness.
How do Aqua Vital Water Filters operate?
Aqua Vital Water Filters simply convert mains tap water into great tasting drinking water. The water flows through a carbon block filter which reduces sediment, chlorine, odour and protozoan cysts.
Aqua Vital Water Filters use a single cartridge system, consisting of a carbon block filter (1 micron).
What contaminants do Aqua Vital water filters remove?
Aqua Vital water filters:
- Reduce chlorine taste
- Reduce odours
- Reduce 99.95% of Protozoan Cysts – Giardia
and Cryptosporidium
What is the temperature of the filtered water dispensed from Aqua Vital water filters?
Filtered water from Aqua Vital filtered water coolers will be chilled (4°C). If you have a hot and cold filtered water cooler you will also have hot water (94°C).
Aqua Vital under sink filters do not have a chilling function - all filtered water is dispensed at an ambient temperature.
How much water do the Aqua Vital Filtered Water Coolers store?
The hot tank in our filtered water cooler has a capacity of 1.1L and the cold tank 3.5L. The tanks are continuously replenished as the filtered water is dispensed for use.
Do Aqua Vital Filtered Water Coolers require sanitation? What frequency is recommended?
The units should be sanitised every 12 months. This involves flushing the unit with a non-hazardous disinfectant / sanitiser that is designed for food processing products. Sanitation is recommended because it deodorises and removes mould from the tubing, reservoirs and taps. Rental of the filtered water cooler includes annual sanitation.
Does Aqua Vital offer a sanitation service?
Can I purchase an Aqua Vital filtered water cooler?
No. Currently Aqua Vital offers you the choice of a 2, 3 or 5 Year rental agreement term on filtered water coolers to suit your needs, delivering peace of mind in knowing the equipment has an ongoing warranty.
Please note that Aqua Vital under sink filters are available for outright purchase.
Our Service
Does Aqua Vital organise the installation of the filtered water cooler?
Yes. Aqua Vital will organise for installation by a licensed plumber. Standard installation is included FREE (conditions apply), but for more complex plumbing jobs you will receive a quote.
How will I know when to change my filter?
Aqua Vital will call you at 6 or 12 monthly intervals, this will prompt you to change over your filters.
However, if you detect a change in the quality or taste of your water or slow flow from the tap, please contact us immediately on 13 19 80 during business hours.
Can my filter(s) be replaced on a more frequent basis?
Yes, you can request more frequent filter cartridge change overs (at an additional cost).
Does Aqua Vital offer a sanitation service?
Yes, you can contact us on 13 19 80 during business hours to sanitise your unit. Rental of the filtered water cooler includes annual sanitation.
What is included in the rental charge?
At Aqua Vital, we're serious about our filters as a means of revitalising your tap water and don't believe in compromising on quality.
We are dedicated to ensuring the maintenance of your filtered water coolers, and offer the following cleaning and santiation program, as part of your rental agreement with us:
- FREE standard installation (conditions apply)
- 2 Cartridge replacements each year (at 6 month
intervals) performed by a trained Aqua Vital
Customer Service Representative
- An annual filtered water cooler sanitation
- Ongoing warranty of the equipment
Our Quality
Do Aqua Vital water filters comply with Australian Regulations?
All Aqua Vital Water Filters are certified to the relevant Australian Plumbing and Water regulations as well as having WaterMark approval.
What materials are the Aqua Vital Filtered Water Coolers made from?
Aqua Vital water filtered water cooler units and taps are manufactured using durable polypropylene. The tank and pipes are made from type 304 stainless steel and the unit is fitted with food grade compliant materials.
How long do Aqua Vital water filters last?
Aqua Vital water filters have a 4000L capacity (subject to mains water quality). To ensure your water quality, we recommend changing the filtered water cooler cartridges at least every 6 months and the under sink filter cartridge every 12 months.
Troubleshooting
Where can I get replacement filters?
Replacement filter cartridges can only be purchased by contacting Aqua Vital.
Can I use other filters sourced off the shelf with my unit?
No, the filter cartridge required for our unit has a specific connection that attaches to the fitting. You can only purchase the filter cartridge from Aqua Vital.
Do I need to turn off the water supply when changing my cartridges?
No, when changing cartridges you do not need to turn off the mains. However for added safety we have installed an isolation valve prior to the filter. We recommend turning the isolation valve off prior to replacing the cartridge and turn it back on after the cartridge has been replaced.
When I first used my filter the water was milky. Is this a concern?
No, brand new carbon block filters contain very compact carbon. Some granules can be present in your water when the filter is first used however after the first 2 litres is run through the taps most of these granules should be dispelled. They are not harmful to your health.
